Welcome to YogaFest OKC! Our mission is to celebrate YOGA, and to highlight the wonderful teachers, studios, artisans, and vendors in our great city and beyond. The two-day festival features yoga, music, meditation, lectures, demos, vendors, activities for kids, and food! 

This year's theme is Mindfulness and we're offering a weekend loaded with inspiring classes, workshops, and discussions that cultivate awareness and promote present-moment living. We are pleased to welcome Sara Lazar, neuroscientist from Harvard Medical School and Gina Caputo (aka Yogini on the Loose) as headliners. Sara will discuss her research on meditation and the brain, and Gina will teach 90-minute classes on Saturday and Sunday. Your favorite local teachers will lead a variety of workshop-style classes each day. Join us for a weekend of mindfulness, community, and transformation.

Gina Caputo

Gina Caputo (ERYT 500) is the Founder and Director of the Colorado School of Yoga in Boulder. Her passionate and inspirational style of teaching is called Integrated Vinyasa™. This style emphasizes the fusion of alignment and flow, anatomy and energetics, focus and release, work and play. She came to the mat from the office chair so has a keen ability to really speak to the modern-day householder yogi. She is an inspiring, empathetic teacher known for her clear and playful style of encouraging you to fearlessly navigate your edge, open your heart and boldly dive in! She is driven by the recognition that embodied, creative movement and self-exploration are essential methods of conscious evolution and discovering one's limitless potential!

Sara Lazar

Sara W. Lazar, PhD is an Associate Researcher in the Psychiatry Department at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant Professor in Psychology at Harvard Medical School. The focus of her research is to elucidate the neural mechanisms underlying the beneficial effects of yoga and meditation, both in clinical settings and in healthy individuals. Sara's research has been covered by numerous news outlets including The New York TimesUSA Today, CNN, and WebMD, and her work has been featured in a display at the Boston Museum of Science.

Nicole Peltier Hall

Nicole has been teaching her eclectic, musically inspired, creative sequences for over 17 year while owning and operating a yoga studio in Brookside, Tulsa (The Yoga Room). Her timing, rhythm & experience with creative options make her classes feel fresh and invigorating, yet also, aligned. Nicole studied at Mount Madonna Center in 2000 & 2001. Over the past 17 years she has accumulated many training with mentors such as Tias Little (Prajna Teacher Training), Shiva Rae (Prana Vinyasa) , and the Prison Yoga Project.

Dr. Shanna Teel

Dr Shanna Teel is the Founder and CEO of Dr. Shanna Teel & Company, Inc., a leadership and organization development consulting firm. In Dr. Teel’s career, she has been a Partner and Executive in three international consulting firms. She holds a dual Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology and clinical psychology; a post-graduate certificate in neuroscience and nutrition-science; and has 20 years of experience as a business and leadership consultant, executive coach, speaker and author. She specializes in the areas of executive and leadership development and coaching, organizational development, culture change, mergers & acquisitions, managing unconscious bias, and applying neuroscience and nutrition science toward creating healthy leaders and organizations. 2018 marks Dr. Teel’s 20th anniversary of being a yogi.
